EFI Colloquium - Dark Matter and Bubbles - The PICO Experiment, Carsten Krauss, University of Alberta

3:30 pm MCP 201

The experimental discovery of dark matter interactions is one of the major goals of current particle physics. The Bubble chamber is a visually beautiful tool to detect particles that even brings all the benefits of multi signal detectors that have been leading experimental dark matter searches recently. I will summarize the status of dark matter searches with bubble chambers and highlight the challenges this technique is facing.
