Kadanoff Seminar - On 1+1d quantum field theories with non-invertible symmetries - Sahand Seifnashri, Stony Brook

On 1+1d quantum field theories with non-invertible symmetries.

I will first review the notion of "non-invertible symmetries" generated by non-invertible topological defects that generalize group-like symmetries in QFTs. Then I give a complete classification and construction of infrared phases of gapped 1+1d QFTs with arbitrary non-invertible symmetries. Finally, I discuss examples and applications in two-dimensional adjoint QCD.
