Prof. Jeff Harvey presents: “From Hadrons to Gravitons, 50 Years of String Theory at the Enrico Fermi Institute”

I will describe the journey that string theory has taken from a description of mesons and their interactions to a quantum theory of gravity.

I will focus on contributions from physicists in the EFI, starting with the work of Nobel Laureate Yoichiro Nambu.
