FACULTY IN EXPERIMENTAL PARTICLE ASTROPHYSICS/COSMOLOGY:The Departments of Physics and of Astronomy & Astrophysics and the Enrico Fermi Institute at the University of Chicago invite applications for a faculty position in experimental particle astrophysics and cosmology, which includes but is not limited to the areas of the cosmic microwave background, dark-matter detection, ultra-high energy cosmic rays, neutrino astrophysics, and gamma-ray astronomy.  The appointment is intended to start in the Fall of 2012.  We encourage applications from candidates with an outstanding record of research in the above areas. 

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in physics or a related field prior to appointment and are expected to establish an independent research program while effectively contributing to the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs of one or both Departments.
